Digital Citizenship for Elementary
Elementary students have access to digital tools both in the classroom and at home. It is imperative that students recognize the consequences of their online actions. Teachers will be instructed on how they can effectively implement safe computer procedures with their students. The following topics will be discussed to prepare teachers on how they can strengthen their students’ digital citizenship skills:

* Internet Safety - delve into relationships that students make while online and how to deal with uncomfortable situations.
* Privacy & Security - identify ways to create strong username and passwords
* Self-Image and Online Identity - the image that students want to present of themselves online and how it can affect their online behavior
* Cyberbullying - a guidance counselor will articulate how students should identify and respond to online bullying. This will include how students can learn to become up-standers in this situation and not just a bystander.
* Digital Footprint - emphasize the importance of how students' actions while online become a part of their online profile.
